Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Gallatin, TN is seeking a Director of Nursing for our skilled nursing facility. The director will lead the clinical department, supervise nursing services, and ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines while fostering an atmosphere of innovation and inclusivity.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, an Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing, and has at least one year of nursing supervisory experience, with three years in long-term or acute care preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as RN in the state practiced.
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited nursing school required.
• Three years in long-term or acute health care preferred; At least 1 years nursing supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage Nursing Services to residents per physician orders.
• Provide 24-hour supervision and direct the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care.
• Oversee admissions decisions and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Monitor staff performance and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Participate in budget development and resource planning for Nursing Services.
• Promote teamwork, inclusivity, and effective communication.
• Conduct nursing rounds and ensure infection control practices.
