Job summary

Eastern Health Group is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing department, ensuring quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and alignment with company policies. The ADON will also participate in budget planning and quality assurance activities.

The role emphasizes leadership, staff development, performance improvement, and collaboration with facility leadership.

Qualifications

• Registered Nursing license in good standing.
• Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience.
• One (1) to two (2) years management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong English communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department.
• Support the Director of Nursing in overall operation and policy adherence.
• Ensure nursing practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Participate in quality assurance and facility surveys as requested.
• Develop staffing plans and delegate authority to Charge Nurses and Supervisors.
