Job summary

Community Health Resources is seeking a Nursing Coordinator in Willimantic, CT. This full-time role provides clinical leadership for the 24/7 REST Center, directing nursing services, staff development, and scheduling while upholding standards and trauma-informed, recovery-focused care.

The Nurse Coordinator collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, ensures policy compliance, and supports accreditation processes to improve client outcomes and operational quality.

Qualifications

• RN license required and nursing degree meeting RN standards.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with individuals with behavioral health conditions.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and mentoring to RN/LPN staff including education and performance management.
• Perform nursing assessment and clinical interventions for clients with mental health or addiction needs.
• Provide individual and group psychoeducation and crisis intervention as needed.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
• Oversee scheduling, staffing, and referrals; ensure quality of care.
• Educate on medication administration, storage, and injections; ensure safety standards.
• Ensure adherence to nursing regulations and standards; monitor outcomes.
• Collaborate with CHR providers on medical and health-related matters.
• Support annual nursing competency assessments and staff development.
• Participate in accreditation surveys and regulatory reviews.
