Job summary

Cuyahoga Community College is seeking a Full-Time Support Staff member to provide direct customer service at the Nursing School concierges desk. The role requires welcoming guests, handling inquiries, and performing administrative tasks to support staff and nursing ceremonies.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, at least three years of customer service experience, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. This position is on-site in Ohio with standard business hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a customer service oriented role.
• Ability to make sound decisions affecting a work unit or team.
• Experience using diverse problem solving methods in varied situations.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and acknowledges all guests, visitors, students & vendors according to College standards; anticipates and addresses service needs.
• Responds to inquiries on behalf of the School of Nursing utilizing customer focused interpersonal skills, and assists as required.
• Checks email and voicemail boxes and responds appropriately.
• Effectively handles all inbound and outbound phone calls in a pleasant, customer-service oriented manner.
• Ensures Concierge desk and lobby area appears neat and professional, and is fully stocked with information including College maps, brochures and event literature.
• Provides administrative support to supervisor.
• Attends all College meetings as assigned.
• Serves as the main administrative support to nursing pinning ceremonies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
