Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) is seeking an experienced Coordinator, Clinical to organize clinical placement operations for ADN and PN programs. You will serve as the primary liaison between MATC and clinical partners, supporting scheduling, communication, and student readiness for clinical participation.

Under supervision of the Associate Dean, Nursing, you will coordinate placements, track student progression, and ensure compliance with requirements while supporting accreditation

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing, health sciences, education, or a related field.
• Three (3) years of clinical work experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing, health sciences, education, or a related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates clinical placements including preceptorships for ADN and PN students and maintains records of placements for capacity and program continuity.
• Serves as primary liaison for clinical partners to coordinate student placements and maintain relationships; secures and maintains clinical sites; represents the College externally.
• Develops clinical schedules with scheduling department, faculty, and leadership; assigns placements and coordinates faculty coverage.
• Maintains documentation for clinical placements, student compliance, and partner agreements; supports accreditation activities and site visit coordination.
• Processes and tracks documentation to ensure student compliance with clinical requirements (health records, background checks, CPR, safety).
• Addresses and resolves student placement issues in collaboration with faculty and leadership; supports grievance processes per policy.
• Maintains confidentiality and ethical standards in all activities; collaborates with team and leadership.
• Establishes workflows, manages multiple projects, and meets deadlines; uses Google Office Suite to support operations.
