Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) seeks a dedicated nursing educator to teach classroom and clinical courses within the Practical Nursing program. The role requires updating curricula and delivering engaging instruction across acute, subacute, and long-term care settings.

You will evaluate student progress, advise on academic matters, and collaborate with advisory committees to strengthen the program and expand community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN).
• Compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards and MATC policies.
• Two years full-time equivalent RN experience; last five years preferred.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Wisconsin.
• Two years of teaching RN/Practical Nursing at post-secondary level within last five years.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and deliver instruction and related teaching activities.
• Manage the classroom and laboratory; develop curriculum and revise for effectiveness.
• Assess student performance and advise on academic issues.
• Collaborate with advisory committee and participate in program evaluation.
• Attend departmental meetings and promote MATC education/training programs.
• Develop relationships with business and industry and support student organizations.
