Job summary

Pacific College is seeking a Clinical Placement Coordinator to oversee nursing student clinical experiences, work with Dean of Nursing, and build partnerships with hospitals and clinical sites in Costa Mesa. The role supports program objectives and ensures compliant, high-quality clinical education.

The coordinator will manage affiliation agreements, monitor site requirements, and participate in events to promote the college and its nursing programs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and other clinical agency sites for nursing students to complete clinical rotations.
• Obtain signatures for initiating, renewing, or terminating affiliation agreements between the College and clinical sites, based on alignment with clinical objectives.
• Manage relationships with existing clinical agency partners to ensure student and clinical site satisfaction as well as successful clinical experiences for nursing students.
• Identify concerns with clinical placements and collaborate with the dean, directors and faculty for appropriate interventions to solve problems.
• Coordinate and attend healthcare-related events such as clinical coordination and nursing consortium meetings and represent Pacific College by promoting a positive image.
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of the College’s curriculum and programs and can clearly explain to clinical partners.
• Plan and attend clinical coordination forums, pre-clinical summit events, career fairs, student forums, and conferences as outreach to potential students.
• Monitor various clinical platforms to ensure students and faculty are compliant with clinical partner requirements and notify the dean and directors of noncompliant students or faculty, so they are prevented from entering clinical partner sites.
• Serves as a role model for faculty, staff, and students in the areas of customer service, collaboration, communication, excellence, attendance, and general professionalism.
• Attends weekly meetings on clinical placements with nursing departments.
• Completes additional duties or tasks delegated by the Dean of Nursing.
