Job summary

Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehab Center is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator/Unit Assistant to join our dedicated team. LNA preferred but not required. At least one year of previous scheduling experience in healthcare/skilled nursing preferred.

Responsibilities include coordinating staffing schedules for all units, handling call-outs, assembling charts for admissions, and scheduling resident appointments with transportation coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• LNA license and CPR certification preferred.
• At least one year of scheduling experience in healthcare.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing schedules for all units with Nursing leadership to ensure safety and staffing requirements.
• Coordinate call-outs for scheduled shifts and alert leadership of vacancies for upcoming shifts.
• Assist in assembling new charts for patients/residents to support admissions.
• Audit new admission charts to ensure resident information is in EMR and required paperwork is available.
• Schedule resident appointments and coordinate transportation to and from appointments.
