Job summary

Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehab Center is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator/Unit Assistant to join our dedicated team. LNA preferred but not required; at least one year of scheduling experience in healthcare is preferred.

The role involves staffing coordination with the Director of Nursing, scheduling time off, arranging coverage for call-outs, and coordinating resident appointments and transportation to keep admissions and care on track.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent related work experience.
• LNA license and CPR certification preferred.
• At least one year of scheduling experience, preferably in skilled nursing or healthcare.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Director of Nursing, Human Resources and Administrator to complete staffing schedule for coverage of all units.
• Coordinate call-out coverage and alert management of vacancies.
• Assist in assembling new charts for patients and residents.
• Audit admission charts and ensure required paperwork is available.
• Schedule appointments for residents and coordinate transportation for timely arrivals and returns.
