Job summary

Valley View Manor in New York is seeking an experienced scheduling coordinator to manage all Licensed and Certified Nursing Assistant staffing. You will create monthly schedules based on ratios set by the Administrator and Director of Nursing, and coordinate vacation and holiday requests.

This role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to handle interruptions. You will liaise with Payroll to ensure accurate timekeeping and assist with hiring and orientation of new staff,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in hospital or long-term care with staff scheduling.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to deal with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to work harmoniously with staff.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods.
• Computer skills helpful.
• Lift, push, pull, and move at least 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Create and facilitate the schedule for all Licensed and Certified Nursing Assistant staff.
• Develop monthly schedules based on ratios set by Administrator and Director of Nursing.
• Coordinate staff vacation and holiday requests.
• Prepare daily Breakdown sheets.
• Provide Payroll with weekly sick, holiday, and vacation lists.
• Reconcile payroll with Master Schedule.
• Maintain attendance records and overtime tracking.
• Assist with hiring and orientation of new staff.
• Communicate overtime approvals with Nursing leadership.
