Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/The Allen Hospital seeks a Nursing Attendant I for the Float Pool, full-time day shift. The role supports bedside care, partnering with nurses and ICU technicians to monitor patients and assist with meals and transport.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, current CPR from the American Heart Association, and either CNA certification, hospital nurse's aide experience, or BSN program enrollment. Shift is 7:00am–3:00pm, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.

• Provide compassionate patient care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for patients.
• Collaborate with nurses and ICU technicians as part of the care team.

Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care.

Shift Details

Shift: 7:00am - 3:00pm, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Criteria

• At least 1 year of nurse's aide experience in an acute care setting

Required Criteria

• High school diploma or GED
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association
• Must meet one of the following: previous nurse's aide experience in a hospital setting, certification from an approved accredited nurse aide training program, or current enrollment in a BSN program

Salary Range

$24.60-$26.46/Hourly
