Job summary

UHS is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide safe, patient-centered care under the direction of a registered nurse or physician on the assigned unit. You will be part of the Nursing Team and contribute to a Service Excellence culture.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or GED and one of the listed certificates or current enrollment in a nursing program, with BLS either already obtained or to be provided during orientation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must possess one of: CNA certificate, EMT certificate, Medical Assistant certificate, or current enrollment in LVN/ADN/BSN nursing program with fundamentals completed.
• BLS certification (or obtained during orientation).
• De-escalation class within first year of hire as required by site-based on specialty unit and job function.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, competent patient-centered care under the supervision of the RN or physician.
• Performs duties as an active member of the Nursing Team on the assigned unit/department.
• Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and adheres to Service Excellence Standards.
