Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - St. Louis North 63136 is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for PRN Night shifts (7p-7a) in St. Louis, MO.

Compensation is $22/hour PRN rate plus a $1.50 night shift differential, plus a $1,500 sign-on bonus. The role includes patient bathing, hourly rounds, transport, and maintaining cleanliness and supplies in a post-ICU setting. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma/GED or 3+ years of relevant experience, with BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less products and providing oral hygiene and care.
• Perform hourly rounds and assist with transport of patients to treatment centers.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms, instruments, bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep unit stock levels and perform other duties as assigned.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
