Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide compassionate patient care on a 12-hour shift schedule (7:00-19:00 or 19:00-07:00).

You will assist with activities of daily living, bathing, oral care, mobility, and transport patients to treatment areas while supporting a safe, clean, and respectful environment. The position offers a full-time DAY or NIGHT schedule, competitive hourly pay ($19–$23.17) with a $1.50 night differential and a $3,000 sign-on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3+ years relevant work experience.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, oral hygiene and grooming.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist transporters as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in patient rooms and equipment.
• Perform duties as assigned and restock supplies as directed.

Compensation: $19-$23.17 per hour, based on years of experience, +$1.50 diff for night shift

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
