Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in St. Charles, MO is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for PRN day or night shifts (7am–7pm). Compensation includes 22 USD per PRN shift with night/weekend differentials.

A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered. The role supports post-ICU inpatient care and features strong career growth opportunities through scholarships and a clinical ladder. Responsibilities include patient bathing, oral care, feeding, hourly rounds, and assisting with transport and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: hospital experience as a nursing assistant or NA certification or related field (e.g. medical assistant, RN student).

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
