Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in Saddle Brook, NJ is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The role involves direct patient care, vital signs, meal delivery, mobility support, and documentation.

Compensation ranges from $21.00 to $25.59 per hour, with shift differential based on experience. Qualifications include BLS certification or completion within 90 days, and a preference for a high school diploma and CNA experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub, and shower), oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves, and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in the mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred

Post offer employment testing (POETs) are completed as part of the onboarding process, to be completed before an employee's first day of work.
