Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in Chester, NJ is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) PRN / Per Diem to provide compassionate patient care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. Shifts include day and night hours, with weekday and weekend coverage as part of the per diem schedule.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, delivering meals, and helping patients with mobility and positioning. Commitment to quality care is essential.

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or complete within 90 days of employment.
• Hospital setting experience preferred; CNA certification preferred.
• Ability to assist with daily living activities and vital signs.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves, and documenting oral intake.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in the mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Position: Nursing Assistant (NA) PRN / Per DiemLocation: 201 Pleasant Hill Rd, Chester NJ (MORRIS COUNTY)Schedule: Per Diem (PRN) 7AM-7:30PM, Days OR 7PM-7:30AM, NIGHTS (Includes Weekday & Weekend Shifts)

Compensation: $23.50/Hour + Shift Differential

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred

Per Diem Requirement: Four (4) shifts per 6-week schedule. One Saturday or Sunday, one Winter/Summer holiday
