Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in Saddle Brook, NJ is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to join our inpatient care team. The role requires compassionate bedside care, accurate vital signs, meal assistance, documentation, and mobility support for patients with brain and spinal injuries and other conditions.

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion within 90 days of employment required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with bathing, oral care, grooming.
• Deliver meals, feed patients as needed and document intake.
• Turn and position immobile patients and assist mobility.
• Respond to call lights and support patient wellbeing.
• Transport patients to treatment areas as required.

Position: Nursing Assistant (NA)

Location: 300 Market Street, Saddle Brook, NJ 07663

Schedule: Full-time, DAYS 7AM – 7:30PM (Includes Weekday & Weekend Shifts)

Compensation: $21.00 - $25.59/Per Hour (Based on Experience) + Shift Differential

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub, and shower), oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves, and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in the mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Minimum Requirements

• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred
