Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital York, located inside UPMC Memorial, is seeking a Nursing Assistant for PRN/Nights with 12-hour shifts. You will deliver essential patient care, including bathing, oral hygiene, rounds, and mobility assistance, in a critical illness recovery setting.

Experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital, CNA certification or related field is preferred. BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience (3+ years).
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, CNA certification, or related field (e.g., medical assistant).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing using basin-less products, oral hygiene, feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds to monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with movement of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; manage unit stock per directives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position: Nursing Assistant

Location: Select Specialty Hospital - York (located inside of UPMC Memorial)

Schedule: PRN/Per Diem Nights, 12-hour shifts

Compensation: $20.00 per hour

Shift Differentials for nights and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
