Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Gulfport is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for night-shift, 12-hour shifts, in Gulfport, MS. This PRN/Per Diem role offers an hourly wage of $18.65 and an orientation program to help you transition into our care team.

You will support patients with bathing, feeding, rounds, and mobility while maintaining clean equipment and rooms. The position provides opportunities for advancement and benefits designed to support you and your family.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned
