Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Gulfport is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for the Day Shift to support critically ill patients in a 12-hour shift pattern. You will perform patient bathing, oral care, hourly rounds, and transfer patients as needed, contributing to a compassionate care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing for patients using basin-less products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patients' rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule: PRN/Per Diem, 7:00 am to 7:30 pm (12-hour shifts)Compensation: $ 18.65 per hour
