Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Atlantic City, NJ is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for PRN/per diem night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Compensation is $21 per hour.

As a critical illness recovery hospital, we require compassionate care for chronically ill patients; NAs play a central role in daily patient support, hygiene, mobility, and comfort, working within a dedicated team to maintain safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Must have Nursing Assistant certification or related experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing using basin-less methods and oral care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist with transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and organized.
• Maintain stock levels of supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
