Select Specialty Hospital - Jackson, MS is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for PRN/per diem night shifts. You will assist with bathing, transports, rounds, and daily patient care.

This role offers an orientation program and potential advancement opportunities within a critical illness recovery setting. The position requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant and a current or soon-to-be certified nursing assistant, with BLS due within 90 days of hire.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience (3+ years).
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or related role.
• Nursing assistant certification or eligible to obtain certification.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Bathing patients using basin-less bath products and assisting with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Participate in hourly rounds and assist with patient mobility and transport as needed.
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist staff with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; monitor stock levels and assist with supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
