Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Charleston is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) to join our per diem team for 12-hour shifts, with day and night coverage at CAMC Memorial. Compensation is $18.00 per hour and a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include bathing, hourly rounds, patient transport, and maintaining cleanliness of rooms and equipment. Minimum qualifications: HS diploma/GED or 3+ years related experience; CNA certification and BLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of related work experience.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or related field (e.g. medical assistant).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing using standard methods and assist with oral care and feeding.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Assist transport of patients and movement in/out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments, bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; monitor inventory of supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position: Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA)

Location: Select Specialty Hospital - Charleston (located inside CAMC Memorial)

Schedule: PRN/Per Diem, 12-hour shifts, Days & Nights

Compensation: $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair

• Participate in hourly rounds

• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs

• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs

• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition

• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed

• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
