Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Kansas City, KS is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time day and night shifts. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered to eligible candidates, with orientation and comprehensive patient care training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less bath products and providing oral hygiene and feeding support.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned
