Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital – Inside St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO – is hiring a Nursing Assistant for full-time day or night 12‑hour shifts (6:45–7:15), every 3rd weekend.

Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $25.37 per hour, plus $2 night shift diff and $1 weekend diff, with a $3,500 sign‑on bonus. • Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment.
• Hospital experience or CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and demographic data.
• Assist patients with daily care (bathing, grooming, oral hygiene).
• Deliver meals and assist feeding, documenting intake.
• Turn and position immobile patients and assist mobility.
• Answer call lights and provide services to support wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub and shower), oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred (maybe required based on some state requirements)
