Job summary

Sanford Health is hiring a Nursing Assistant to provide patient-centered care during 8-hour shifts in the United States. The role includes helping with daily living activities, vital signs, and basic clinical tasks under RN/LPN supervision.

The position involves seven 8-hour shifts per pay period, evening and night coverage, and requires attendance for every other weekend and holidays. Certification in MN is preferred and unionized employment is noted.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of patient care principles and medical terminology.
• Certification and registration with Minnesota Board of Nursing Assistant Registry preferred; required by law in some cases.
• Experience with basic nursing tasks and respectful communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities: bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, meal prep and dining support.
• Administer delegated tasks and treatments as directed by RN/LPN.
• Record vital signs and basic health information.
• Collect non-invasive specimens; perform scheduling clerical duties.
• Prepare treatment areas, clean equipment, dispose of biomedical waste.
• Maintain clean patient living/treatment areas.
