Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide patient-centered care during evening shifts in a rural health system setting. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, recording vital signs, and supporting the patient under RN/LPN supervision.

Union position with four 8-hour shifts weekly and occasional weekend/holiday commitments. The NA will handle basic health care tasks, collect specimens, and assist with scheduling and documentation while maintaining a clean, safe

Qualifications

• Must be able to acquire a basic knowledge of patient care principles, medical terminology and equipment within the assigned service area.
• Certification and registration with the Minnesota Board of Nursing Assistant Registry is preferred. Certification is required if designated by law (i.e. Home Care).

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, and meal preparation.
• Administer delegated tasks and treatments.
• Record vital statistics and other basic health information.
• Collect non-invasive biological specimens as needed.
• Perform clerical tasks related to scheduling and documenting patient care.
• Prepare and clean treatment areas and dispose of biomedical waste.
