Job summary

Sanford Health in Bemidji, MN is seeking a Nursing Assistant who provides patient-centered care under supervision from a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. You will help with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and perform delegated treatments to support patient well-being.

Responsibilities include collecting non-invasive specimens, scheduling and documentation tasks, preparing treatment areas, and maintaining clean patient spaces during three 12-hour shifts with every third

Qualifications

• Must be able to acquire a basic knowledge of patient care principles, medical terminology and equipment within the assigned service area.
• Certification and registration with the Minnesota Board of Nursing Assistant Registry is preferred. Certification is required if designated by law (i.e. Home Care).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care and assistance with daily living activities under supervision.
• Record vital statistics and other basic health information; collect non-invasive specimens as needed.
• Prepare patient treatment areas, clean medical equipment, and dispose of biomedical waste according to policy.
• Perform clerical tasks related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare.
• Clean patient living areas or treatment rooms.
