Job summary

Sanford Health in Bemidji, MN is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision of an RN or LPN. The role features three 12-hour shifts per week, with every third weekend and holiday commitments, and a wage range of $20.02–$26.21 per hour.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, administering delegated tasks, recording vital signs, and maintaining clean treatment areas and equipment.

Qualifications

• Must acquire a basic knowledge of patient care principles, medical terminology and equipment within the assigned service area.
• Certification and registration with the Minnesota Board of Nursing Assistant Registry preferred.
• Certification is required if designated by law (e.g. Home Care).

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities; bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, meal preparation and dining needs, emotional and spiritual needs.
• Administer delegated tasks and treatments.
• Record vital statistics and other basic health information.
• Will collect non-invasive biological specimens from patients as needed.
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare.
• Prepare patient treatment areas for use; prepare and clean medical equipment; dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy.
• Clean patient living areas or treatment rooms.
