Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to lead a designated unit with 24/7 accountability on rotating weekends. The role partners with the Director of Nursing to drive high-quality, patient-centered care and staff development in a complex clinical setting.

Must hold a RN license in Maryland with progressive leadership experience in critical care and a proven track record of promoting safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Master's degree preferred in Nursing or health-related field.
• RN license in Maryland required or eligible for compact license.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develops unit/department goals with the Director of Nursing.
• Maintains effective interdisciplinary relationships to ensure quality patient care.
• Leads performance management and coaching of staff.
• Oversees budgeting, staffing, and supply management for the unit/department.
• Supports safety and quality initiatives and regulatory compliance.
