Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care and comfort under the supervision of nursing leadership. The role includes assisting with personal hygiene, nutrition, and safety, while maintaining a clean environment to support healing.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, recording data, transferring patients safely, and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RN. A mix of 8- and 12-hour shifts with every other weekend/holiday is required.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• If not certified as a Nursing Assistant, must be registered as a Nurse Assistant through the North Dakota Department of Health within 3 months from date of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and comfort under supervision.
• Assist with hygiene and nutritional needs.
• Take vital signs and document accurately.
• Transfer patients safely and maintain clean, safe environment.
• Report changes in patient condition promptly to RN.
