Job summary
Essentia Health in Duluth, Minnesota is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct care under supervision, helping with hygiene, nutrition, and comfort needs on rotating 8-hour shifts. The role requires up to 32 hours every two weeks, with every other weekend and a rotating day/evening/night schedule.
Qualified candidates may receive a hiring incentive up to $1,500. Licensure: BLS certification or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire.
Qualifications
- 6 months of nursing assistant experience.
- Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program.
- Enrollment into the Essentia Health Nursing Assistant Foundation Course within 30 days of hire.
- Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program.
- Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to patients under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Nurse Manager.
- Take vital signs and document accurately in patient records.
- Assist with personal hygiene, nutrition, and comfort needs.
- Safely transfer patients and maintain a safe, clean environment.
- Report changes in patient condition promptly to the RN.
