Job summary
Essentia Health in Duluth, MN is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include personal hygiene assistance, vital signs, nutrition support, and safe patient transfers on rotating 8-hour shifts.

Qualifications
- Must meet one of the following requirements: six months of nursing assistant experience; completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program; enrollment into the Essentia Health Nursing Assistant Foundation Course within 30 days of hire; verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program; current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry.
Responsibilities
- Providing personal hygiene care and assisting with nutritional needs.
- Providing comfort care and other assistance.
- Appropriately and safely transferring patients.
- Taking vital signs and completing recordkeeping.
- Recognizing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RN.
- Maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients to promote the healing process.
