Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Richmond, VA is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) to join our night shift team. This 12 hour shift offers a pay range of $21.00 to $25.59 per hour and a structured orientation.

You will perform services for patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding and hair care; participate in hourly rounds; transport patients when needed; maintain clean rooms and stock supplies; and contribute to a team of over 44,000 dedicated colleagues nationwide.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Preferred qualifications include hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less bath products
• Oral hygiene and oral feeding support
• Hair care and overall patient grooming
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist transporters
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs, and other instruments
• Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
