Job summary

Advocate Condell Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant for Med Surg IU Tower with a 36-hour week. Shifts are from 6:30pm to 7:00am, Sunday through Thursday. Must be able to work the stated schedule and meet required certifications.

Required: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) within 45 days and Nurse Aide in good standing per state registry. Education: GED/HSED or HS diploma.

Qualifications

• Must obtain BLS for Healthcare Providers within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing as per State Registry.
• Education: GED/HSED or High School Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and ambulation.
• Measure and document vitals, I&O, daily weights, and patient data.
• Document accurately in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge under RN supervision.
