Advocate Sherman Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Emergency Services Tech for the Emergency Department in Elgin, IL. This full-time position requires 7p-7a shifts, with every-other or every-third weekend rotation based on teammate choice, and a 36-hour work week.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate.
• 1 year experience typical.
• BLS certification required within 6 months unless exempted by department leadership.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and registered nurses with patient care including phlebotomy and wound care.
• Transport patients and monitor vital signs on the unit.
• Place Foley catheters and obtain lab specimens; start IVs where state regulations allow.
• Document procedures in the EHR and communicate observations to the RN.
• Coordinate communications via phone, paging, and EMS systems; maintain clean, safe workspace.
