Job summary

The Administrative Supervisor/Administrator on Duty (AOD) at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital provides off-shift leadership and oversight of patient flow in the acute care setting. This role ensures safe care, coordinates transfers, and supports nursing units with staffing and clinical resources.

Qualified candidates hold Florida RN licensure, with BSN preferred, and certification within 2 years. BLS is required, with ACLS/PALS/NALS/TNCC as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current Florida RN license with national certification in specialty area within 2 years.
• Maintains current BLS; ACLS/PALS/NALS/TNCC as required by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Serves as clinical resource agent for problem solving across units and shifts.
• Ensures safe, timely patient flow and coordinates intra-system transfers.
• Oversees staffing resources in coordination with leadership and staffing office.
• Acts as Incident Commander for HICS events until administrator arrives.
• Maintains documentation for census, events and flow using EHR and bed management tools.
• Provides crisis management support and coaching to team members.
• Ensures compliance with Orlando Health policies and accrediting standards.

Education
