Job summary

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in Saint Petersburg, FL seeks an Administrative Supervisor / Administrator on Duty to oversee off‑shift operations, patient flow, and nursing administration within a 480‑bed tertiary care facility.

The role requires leadership across nursing units, crisis management, staff coaching, and coordination with the Nursing Operations Manager to ensure safe, quality patient care during night shifts.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Current Florida RN license with BLS; ACLS/PALS/ TNCC as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

Serves as a clinical resource agent to nursing units for problem solving during shift.
Ensures safe and timely patient flow and coordinates intra-system transfers.
Oversees staffing resources in coordination with leadership and staffing offices.
Maintains leadership presence, serves as a first responder for code events and house alerts.
Documents patient census and events; manages data in EHR and bed management systems.
