Job summary

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL seeks an Administrative Supervisor / Administrator on Duty (AOD) to lead nursing operations during day shifts on a PRN basis. The role ensures safe patient flow, operational oversight, and quality care across an acute care setting.

The administrator collaborates with Nursing Operations Manager, participates in staffing decisions, and supports leadership presence throughout the facility. RN licensure in Florida is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current registered nurse license in Florida (or eligible).
• Two years of RN experience in acute care.
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NALS/TNCC as determined by specialty area.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate safe, timely patient flow and oversee off-shift operations.
• Coordinate staffing with department leadership and central staffing.
• Act as first responder for emergencies and serve as Incident Commander for HICS events.
• Document census, events, and bed management in EHR and related systems.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and crisis management support to teams.
