Job summary

LakeshoreVillage seeks a nursing supervisor to oversee day‑to‑day activities in a long‑term care facility. You will ensure high quality care by directing staff, maintaining policies, and complying with regulations. You will coordinate with the DON and ADON and participate in quality assurance and care planning.

The role includes staffing oversight, committee involvement, and ensuring safety and accurate documentation across nursing services.

Qualifications

• Lead the day‑to‑day nursing activities in the facility.
• Develop and update written policies and procedures for the nursing service.
• Ensure nursing staff comply with Nursing Service Procedures Manual.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing Services in directing day‑to‑day functions.
• Participate in policy updates and quality assurance for nursing services.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Plan discharge care with nursing staff and other departments.
• Review and report on nursing service operations and staff performance.
• Oversee staffing to ensure adequate nurse and aide coverage.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and patient privacy.
• Maintain and supervise medication administration procedures and records.
• Participate in committees and generate reports for care planning.
