Job summary

LakelandHills is seeking an experienced nursing leader to provide direct patient care oversight in a long-term care setting. The role includes supervising nursing assistants, ensuring policy compliance, and coordinating with other departments to maintain comprehensive resident care.

Responsibilities include managing daily nursing operations, updating procedures, and communicating with physicians and administration to ensure high-quality outcomes for residents.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Ensure nursing personnel comply with written policies and procedures established by the facility.
• Review department policies and procedures and recommend revisions.
• Plan shifts, services, programs, and activities with assigned nursing staff and support personnel.
• Maintain Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure staff adherence to it.
• Provide written and oral reports on shift activities as required.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to maintain the resident's total care regimen.
• Oversee discharge planning and assist in updating discharge plans as needed.
