Villa Healthcare Ambassador, A Villa Center is seeking a Nurse Supervisor RN to join their team in Detroit to provide leadership and oversight of nursing staff during non-business hours, ensuring staffing, workflow, and high-quality patient care.

The role includes direct nursing care as needed, coordination with other departments, and support for staff development while upholding infection control standards in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• RN licensed and registered in the state.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Long-Term care and MDS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and leadership to all on-duty nursing staff during non-business hours. Ensure proper staffing levels, monitor workflow, and assist with prioritizing patient care tasks.
• Act as the highest-ranking on-site authority during after-hours and weekends. Make timely decisions related to patient care, staffing, safety, and operations.
• Offer clinical expertise and support in resolving patient care challenges. Assist with complex cases or difficult family situations.
• Develops and maintains care standards.
• Makes frequent rounds to note resident/patient conditions and to ensure nursing personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
• Gives and receives the nursing report upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
