Job summary

Birmingham Green in Manassas, Virginia, is seeking a qualified Nurse Supervisor (RN) for the 3:00 pm–11:30 pm shift to lead nursing care and supervise staff in a person-centered care community. The ideal candidate holds an unencumbered RN license, CPR, at least five years in long-term care, and strong leadership and communication skills to ensure residents receive high-quality, compliant care.

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Knowledge of the physical, mental, and emotional needs of the elderly.
• Knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
• Knowledge of current nursing techniques, federal and state nursing home regulations, and experience in regulatory surveys, resident assessments, and recertification.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other computer skills.

• Assures that residents receive the care that has been identified to meet their health care needs
• Ensures that policies and procedures of the nursing department are followed by nursing staff
• Person in charge of the entire facility in the absence of senior management staff

Experience/Skills/Education

Required:

• Current unencumbered RN license
• CPR certification
