Colorado Department of Corrections is seeking a Nurse III (Nurse Supervisor) to oversee professional nursing care for incarcerated individuals in outpatient clinics, infirmaries, or specialized units at Fremont Correctional Facility. The role may involve shift work, on-call duties, and staff supervision in a demanding correctional setting.

The candidate must hold an active RN license (Colorado or eNLC) and have at least three years of related nursing experience.

Formación

• Current, valid RN licensure from the Colorado Board of Nursing or any state participating in the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
• Three (3) years of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position

Responsabilidades

• Supervises, guides, and directs professional skilled nursing care for incarcerated offenders in outpatient clinic, infirmary, or specialized cell house settings.
• Delivers patient education on self-care techniques and medication effects; documents inmate medical records.
• Performs routine and emergency assessments using nursing skills and protocols.
• Manages payroll, scheduling, and performance management; coordinates unit routines and staff orientation; assists in hiring and promotions.
