Job summary

Ideal candidates hold RN licensure with a BSN (or higher), a Master's preferred, and 5+ years of nursing experience including supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's and Master's in Nursing.
• Typically requires 5 years of nursing experience including 1 year supervisory experience managing staff and budgets.
• Registered Nurse license and certification in specialty within 1 year of eligibility.
• Advanced knowledge of nursing management concepts and clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and manages resources to provide optimal nursing care, including staff, supplies and systems.
• Maintains productivity through 24-hour staffing and scheduling patterns and labor standards.
• Evaluates quality of care using standards, outcomes and indicators; ensures resources for improvement.
• Develops service strategies and monitors levels against indicators for patient and customer satisfaction.
• Maintains relationships with patients, families, staff, other departments and vendors.
• Facilitates evidence-based nursing and aligns with organizational goals.
• Participates in governance councils; supports changes in nursing practice and accountability.
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission and regulatory bodies.
• Plans staffing to meet productivity benchmarks and patient loyalty targets.
• Assists in development of new services and revenue opportunities.
• Performs HR responsibilities including interviews, promotions, evaluations and terminations.
• Develops operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within objectives.
• Ensures adherence to Code of Ethical Conduct and regulatory policies.
