Job summary

Aurora Health Care seeks a Nursing Manager to coordinate staffing resources and patient care services, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance across the department.

You will lead 24-hour staffing patterns, collaborate with physicians and departments, and drive evidence-based practice, governance participation, and budgeting to support cost control and patient satisfaction in a dynamic health system.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and manages resources to provide optimal nursing care and staffing.
• Maintains productive staffing patterns and labor management standards.
• Evaluates quality of care using standards, outcomes, peer review and incidents.
• Develops service strategies and monitors levels against indicators for satisfaction.
• Maintains relationships with patients, families, staff, medical staff and vendors.
• Facilitates evidence-based nursing and integrates evidence with goals.
• Participates in shared governance and champions new nursing practices.
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission and regulatory bodies.
• Plans staffing and budgets to meet productivity benchmarks and loyalty targets.
• Assists in development of new services and revenue sources.
• Handles HR duties including interviewing, promotions, evaluations, and morale.
• Develops and manages operating and capital budgets within approved objectives.
• Ensures adherence to Code of Ethical Conduct and policies.
