Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Specialist (PDS). This role leads education, onboarding, and competency development for nursing staff, serving as a change agent and mentor within the clinical setting.

Responsibilities include assessing learning gaps, planning educational programs, coordinating preceptors, and evaluating outcomes to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing. RN licensure in state of employment.
• Certification in Nursing Professional Development required within two years; BLS/ACLS/NRP as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new employees with orientation, assess learning needs and plan.
• Coordinate preceptor development and educational events.
• Lead Education Day planning and staff education activities.
• Evaluate staff progress and competency, provide feedback and mentorship.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to improve clinical outcomes.
