Job summary

Joseph Michaels International is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive primary care in the Greater Sacramento area. This role includes collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to serve diverse, underserved populations.

Responsibilities include patient evaluations, managing acute/chronic conditions, ordering tests, prescribing within scope, and developing treatment plans with the Medical Director.

Qualifications

• Active California RN and Nurse Practitioner license.
• NP board certification required.
• DEA registration and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including history and physical examinations
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostics
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions within scope of practice
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the Medical Director
• Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as appropriate
• Initiate emergency procedures when clinically indicated
• Provide preventive care, health education, and counseling services
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
