Job summary
HealthDrive Corporation seeks a full-time Nurse Practitioner to manage medical care for residents in sub-acute rehab and long-term care units. The APRN will diagnose, treat, coordinate with staff, and serve as primary contact for emergencies and routine visits.
New hires complete a 3-week paid training with mentor APRN, and receive comprehensive benefits, malpractice coverage, and opportunities for ongoing CEU training. On-site primary/post-acute care across facilities is provided.
Qualifications
- APRN with state license to practice in Maryland.
- Board certification as Nurse Practitioner.
- Experience in geriatrics or post-acute care preferred.
- Ability to work independently and with on-site staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary, post-acute, and preventive care for residents in sub-acute rehab and long-term care units.
- Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays, etc.).
- Diagnose health conditions and illnesses and propose treatments.
- Prescribe medications and maintain accurate records and schedules.
- Inform patients about health conditions and prescribed medications; oversee overall health.
